What is the custom dictionary and how do I use it?
How to add specific terms so they're always transcribed and translated the right way.
The default model handles Croatian speech well, but guest names, book titles, brand names and technical jargon often end up spelled in several variants. The custom dictionary locks in one canonical version.
What to add
- Names of recurring guests — “Ivan Marčetić”, not “Ivan Marčić” or “Marchetic”
- Your own brand name and competitors
- Technical terms not in the standard dictionary — “kubernetes”, “zero-knowledge”, “retrieval-augmented”
- Local expressions the ASR (transcription model) doesn't know
Entry format
- Croatian form — “Marc Andreessen” (keep the original spelling of foreign names)
- English form (optional) — if you want a different translation than the default
- Extra description — “tech investor”, helps the translator with context
When it applies
The dictionary applies to all videos from the moment of entry onward. Old videos are not reprocessed automatically — you can manually trigger reprocess from the dashboard, per video.
Pro tip: add 5–10 of your most common guest names after the first week of processing — that's typically 90% of all manual fixes you'd otherwise be doing.
